25 (who?)
You didnt have to die,
But you provoked me,
So much has changed,
Since we were young,
You've grown tall and strong,
But so have I,
I have teeth and fangs and claws,
Strength and speed,
That surpasses yours by far,
It started as a game of chase,
Buts now is that of life and death,
Your life dear cousin.

You thought you were clever,
Hiding in the corn,
Your breaths ragged,
And thats how I found you,
Your yelp of surprise,
Sent me into a frenzy,
That can only end in blood,
The wolf must feast,
So you must die,
In a battle,
Laced with screams and blood,
Your blood dear cousin.

You thought I was joking,
Until you turned around,
And saw me there,
Body quivering and shaking,
Claws tearing from my nailbeds,
Fur blotches here and there,
Thats when you put it together,
And finally realized,
You were about to die,
So you turned and ran,
As fast as you possibly could,
But it wasnt fast enough dear cousin.

You crashed through the corn,
Until you spat blood,
Your face as you saw me,
Coming at you in full speed,
Broke my heart a little,
But I feel remorse no more,
My feet padded against the ground,
Slowly turning to paws,
You got back up,
And spun around,
But I was the wolf,
And you were my prey dear cousin.

You noticed the corn,
Slowly thinning around you,
But you only thought about survival,
You never had a chance,
I just toyed with you,
Like a cat and mouse,
Giving you some hope,
But tearing it down with a snarl,
Why shouldnt I?
You used to play innocent pranks,
Mainly on me,
Mine arent so innocent dear cousin.

I wish you could have heard me laugh,
When you ran into the fence,
Ensnaring yourself of barbed wire,
That was when you begged for mercy,
Thinking the wolf felt compassion,
Your brown locks hid the beads of sweat,
And when you realized it was the end,
You called out for Barb,
To bad your marriage ended so shortly,
They'll think it was an animal,
A random act of God,
But it wasnt dear sweet cousin.

The gargled noised,
That came from your mouth,
As I bit down on your throat,
Jolted me back to reality,
The wolf finally killed you,
Its biggest competition,
My body jerked back to my human form,
And I cried as I watched you die,
You breathed out your final words,
You died right then and there,
With those words hanging in the air,
"Goodbye dear world, and mostly you dear cousin."
A werewolf poem about me stalking and killing my older cousin. This messed up thing happened after he came over and we played chase like we did when we were young.
